This is the oldest picture of the village-taken before 1887-there is no Jubilee Hall-but does anyone know what was being celebrated?
We know that this is the wedding of Ernie Dare and Ela Hurford. Both were farming families. The Dare family farmed at Leigh Farm and the Hurford family farmed at Manor Farm, Holditch.
