| When Stella Abbey was
asked by the Parish Council if she would write and produce a
play to be performed at its 120th Anniversary Celebration, she
had only a few months to research and wade through the summaries
and minutes recording parish council business since 1894.
Brilliantly, she came up with a way of portraying the essence of
the statutory body that has guided Winsham through an incredible
period of change. The key to her approach was the French epigram 'plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose'... in Winsham they say 'The more things change, the more they stay the same'. It is particularly true of the Parish Council! |
