The re-opening of the Jubilee Hall on Saturday 13th January 2007
After being closed for six months, the Jubilee
Hall was formally re-opened by John Loaring, the senior member of the Jubilee
Hall Management Committee. John Loaring, and his family before him have

Other guests making up the 'platform party' were Eileen Zoers, Village Hall

Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture. Over one hundred people attended the celebration event, filling the hall almost to overflowing. Following the opening ceremony a superb tea was served ,donated by Tony and Terry Laws -Spindler, proprietors of The Bell, and Ann Bevis. |

The Clergy were there in strength |
|
Eileen Zoers of the CCS was of enormous help by bringing a wealth of experience in raising funds |
John Sullivan, Chairman of the Jubilee Hall Management Committee, made sure that everyone was thanked for their efforts |
In 2017, ten years later, the point of recording the speech for posterity is that it lists the names of many of the people who contributed, in so many different ways. Sadly some of those named are no longer living in the parish, or have passed away. However, the fruits of their efforts live on |
